Matt Rhule keeps building a fast, versatile offense at Nebraska

Matt Rhule keeps stacking pieces for Nebraska’s 2026 recruiting class — and his latest addition could bring some serious juice to the offense.

On Tuesday night, three-star wide receiver Larry Miles announced his commitment to the Cornhuskers through Hayes Fawcett of Rivals and On3Sports. He picked Nebraska over offers from Miami (FL), Pittsburgh, and Kentucky.

Miles, a 5-foot-10 playmaker from Jones High School in Orlando, Florida, is expected to work primarily out of the slot in college — and the numbers show why.

In his first season after transferring to Jones, he made an immediate impact, racking up 68 catches for 1,204 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also added a punt return score, helping the Tigers make a run at the Florida 4A state title.

The 247Sports Composite ranks Miles as the No. 81 wide receiver nationally in the 2026 class and the No. 70 overall prospect in Florida.

According to 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ives, Miles brings the same kind of explosive, versatile skill set seen in Tulane standout Mario Williams — a smaller receiver who plays bigger than his frame and creates problems for defenses.

“Slot receiver with the burst and quickness to be a menace in the short passing game,” Ives said of Miles’ play-style. “On the smaller side, but plays a physical brand of football and finds ways to get large at the catch point. Bolts off the line with no shortage of urgency and keeps defenders guessing with his savvy route running as finds soft spots in both man and zone coverages.”

Miles is now the third wide receiver in Nebraska’s 2026 class, joining Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte and Nalin Scott, as Rhule continues to prioritize speed, versatility, and playmaking ability across the board.

For a program looking to reignite its offense and get back to national relevance,…
