LSU football added another blue-chip offensive lineman to its 2026 recruiting class on Friday. The news was reported by Rivals’ Shea Dixon.
Offensive tackle Bryson Cooley chose the Tigers over a host of SEC offers, which gives LSU verbal commitments from Mississippi’s top two offensive line prospects. He follows Emanuel Tucker, who hails from New Albany.
A native of Laurel, MS, Cooley is the No. 14 prospect from his home state and No. 32 at his position. LSU beat out Alabama, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State for the six-foot-six, 315-pounder. He took official visits to the three conference rivals in May and June.
Washington is LSU’s third commitment from Mississippi, alongside Tucker and five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys. He took an official visit to Baton Rouge on June 15 and told multiple sources that the Tigers jumped to the top of his list.
LSU football’s 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 6 nationally. The Tigers have 14 commits, including two five-stars and nine four-stars. The Tigers trail Georgia and Texas A&M, which rank first and second respectively. Both schools have over 20 commitments.
