Texas A&M’s recruiting success this summer deserves national praise, and coach Mike Elko has already proven that no matter the prospect, the Aggies always have a shot, especially concerning defensive linemen and defensive backs. With 24 commits in the 2026 cycle, Elko has secured three five-star prospects, including five-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright out of Buford, Georgia.
While Texas A&M’s recruiting pipeline in Georgia deserves its own separate piece, last month’s slew of official visits sealed the deal for over a dozen of A&M’s 24 pledges, including all three of the program’s four-star wide receiver commits, led by Aaron Gregory and Madden Williams.
Still, one of the underrated positions that has been built for the future is linebacker, as four-star Da’Quives Beck and Tank King, combined with three-star Storm Miller, look like the future replacement once Taurean York and Scooby Williams depart for the NFL. With Wright’s commitment, Elko and defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie are a potential commitment from five-star Lamar Brown away from fielding a future D-line littered with elite talent.
