OXFORD — Ole Miss football is set to lose one of its under-the-radar experts in recruiting.
Kelvin Bolden, Ole Miss’ coordinator of recruiting strategy, is taking a job at LSU, per an On3 report on July 7. On3 reported Bolden will become the Senior Associate AD/Assistant GM for the Tigers.
Bolden, who has been at Ole Miss since 2022, knows the South well and has helped build Ole Miss’ recruiting strategy. One of the biggest wins Ole Miss has had in recruiting under Bolden has been the signing of Choctaw wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, the No. 1 player in Mississippi in the Class of 2025.
Now LSU will get an asset with deep connections in the Magnolia State. Bolden played high school football at Perkinston High and played collegiately at Southern Miss. Bolden graduated from Southern Miss in 2001.
Before joining Ole Miss, Bolden worked for UCF and Florida.
The Rebels have been riding a strong recruiting wave. Versatile defensive back Jett Goldsberry committed to Ole Miss earlier on July 7. He is part of a 13-man recruiting class for 2026 that has four four-star players in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Ole Miss will play LSU in Oxford on Sept. 27.
