The national college football magazine has released its 2025 CSU preview and predicts CSU to finish fifth in the Mountain West and land a spot in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (against Ohio).
Athlon writes that CSU quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi “should compete for All-Mountain West honors.”
“Colorado State finished tied for second in the Mountain West last season with UNLV and (coach Jay) Norvell has said the goal is to reach the championship game before the Rams move to the re-formed Pac-12 in 2026. The offense should certainly improve on its 24.4 points per game from a year ago. The defense is almost all new, so how that unit comes together will really determine if CSU can be a factor again in the MW race,” Athlon writes.
