Wisconsin football extended a pair of offers to two promising class of 2027 prospects on Monday.
Amid its 2026 recruiting efforts, UW’s recruiting brass offered three-star defensive lineman Carter Blattner and three-star wide receiver Cam Wade on Monday evening.
Blattner, who attends Northern Highlands High School in New Jersey, has received nearly 10 offers thus far. Wake Forest, USC, Rutgers, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Liberty, Duke and Boston College have all extended scholarship opportunities to the 6-foot-5, 260-pound lineman.
247Sports considers the three-star as the No. 268 overall prospect, the No. 29 defensive lineman and the No. 7 player from New Jersey for the class of 2027. As of July 8, no clear frontrunner has emerged in his recruiting process. On3’s recruiting prediction machine currently gives five programs at least a 10% chance to land his commitment.
Wade, meanwhile, has pocketed over 10 offers from a bevy of programs throughout the country. Excluding UW, Tennessee, Indiana, Louisville, Liberty, Memphis, Ole Miss, Missouri, Purdue, Toledo and Vanderbilt have offered the 5-foot-11, 165-pound wideout.
Like Blattner, 247Sports pegs Wade as a three-star prospect. The outlet considers the rising junior the No. 195 overall recruit, the No. 26 wide receiver and the No. 7 player from Tennessee in the class of 2027. He becomes the 22nd wide receiver to receive an offer from UW in the 2027 cycle.
It’s far too early to project where both athletes will land, but UW’s enthusiasm at this stage increases their odds of remaining involved in their respective recruiting processes over the next year or so. Both players will also attract more offers as their profiles bloom, and their progressions are worth monitoring as they suit up for their respective high schools this coming season.
