4-star WR Jordan Clay chooses Baylor over Oklahoma and Colorado

The Oklahoma Sooners were hoping to add another blue-chip wide receiver to their 2026 recruiting class, but that decision went another way on Friday. The Sooners missed out on four-star wide receiver Jordan Clay, who committed to the Baylor Bears.

Clay is a top-100 prospect in the cycle and was down to Baylor, Oklahoma, and Colorado, opting to stay in the state of Texas and go right up the I-35 from San Antonio.

The Sooners currently have just one wide receiver committed in the 2026 class, four-star prospect Daniel Odom out of Florida. They’re currently in the running for another four-star prospect out of the state of Texas in four-star Frisco Lone Star pass catcher Davian Groce.

Groce is the No. 37 player in the nation, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and the No. 3 athlete in the nation. He’s a dynamic player who could help the Sooners in every area of the offense and could contribute as a returner.
