EA Sports’ College Football 26 came out for everyone Friday, and we now know the game’s official ratings for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Teams typically received different ratings for the game’s play now mode and for dynasty mode. Colorado is one of those teams with quite a big difference in ratings between the two modes.
What is Colorado’s College Football 26 overall rating?
Colorado’s rating in the play now mode is an 82 overall with an 83 offensive rating and a 82 defensive rating. In dynasty mode, the Buffaloes are a 3.5-star program with an 86 rating in every category.
The Buffaloes’ rating might be surprising to some who thought Colorado would take a step back in both real life and virtually after the departures of top players like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Well, EA Sports thinks that there is still plenty of talent in Boulder, giving the Buffs a dynasty overall rating (86) that is tied with Texas Tech as the best in the Big 12.
Arizona State (84), Baylor (84) and Utah (84) round out the top Big 12 teams in the game’s dynasty mode. If you’re looking to rebuild a Big 12 team, Arizona (77) and Houston (77) are the two lowest-rated Big 12 teams. We also recommend the Cougars and one other team as the top dynasty rebuilds.
Colorado enters its third season under head coach Deion Sanders after an impressive 9-4 season in 2024. The Buffaloes’ season begins on Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech at Folsom Field.
