The Oregon Ducks have been hot on the recruiting trail this summer, and they could continue the streak in the next few hours.
There are several high-profile players left on the board that Dan Lanning and his staff are after, but one of them — 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson — announced on Monday that he will be making his commitment official on Tuesday, July 15, live on the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN.
Atkinson, who the 247Sports Composite rates as the No. 9 player in the 2026 class and the No. 1 linebacker, will choose between the Ducks, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Texas Longhorns, and the Clemson Tigers. Atkinson has been to Eugene a couple of times on visits and has hosted Oregon’s coaches on in-home visits as well.
While the hometown Bulldogs are viewed as the leader in Atkinson’s recruitment, Oregon remains in the mix and is pushing to land the elite player.
