Notre Dame has changed the way it recruits under head coach Marcus Freeman, and the most noticeable difference has been with its quarterback recruiting.
Multiple high-level players have been brought into the program, with a pair of them in CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey along with Blake Hebert battling it out for the starting spot, and with Noah Grubbs committed in the 2026 class, the cupboard had been refilled. The Irish don’t want for it to get empty, and while they have only offered two 2027 quarterbacks, one of them is clearly very high on the Irish.
Georgia 4-star Teddy Jarrard earned a Notre Dame offer early in the spring, and now had included them inside his top-5 along with the in-state Bulldogs, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. At 6-foot, 3-inches and 190-pounds, he’s one of the top ranked players at his position in his class, ranking as the No. 194 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
It won’t be easy for the Irish to beat out these four other top college football programs, but the way that Notre Dame has been recruiting lately, you can’t rule them out of any recruitment. Jarrard was on campus this spring for a camp, and showed enough to the coaching staff that they put him at the to of the recruiting board.
