The media has predicted the Georgia Bulldogs to finish second in the Southeastern Conference during the 2025 season. Georgia received 44 votes to be SEC champions, which is the second-most in the conference behind the Texas Longhorns, who received 96 votes.
The media is predicting Georgia to lost to Texas in the 2025 SEC championship game, which would be a rematch of the 2024 SEC championship. Georgia falling in the SEC championship for the fourth time in eight years would be heartbreaking for Bulldog fans, but Georgia would still have an excellent chance to make the College Football Playoff.
Georgia is also predicted to finish second in the conference standings after Texas. After Georgia, is predicted to be Alabama (No. 3) and Ole Miss (No. 4). Georgia has to play all the other three teams (outside of itself) projected to finish in the top four during the 2025 regular season, but the Dawgs host all three games in Athens.
Last year, the media’s preseason poll correctly picked that Georgia would beat Texas in the SEC championship. The media had a lot of confidence in Georgia (165 points to win the SEC) in 2024. This year, the media is a little more unsure about who will win the conference.
Eleven different and 13 total Georgia players made the All-SEC team. Georgia had four players make the All-SEC first-team defense and the entire first-team special teams unit.
