While recruiting is a numbers game, Notre Dame isn’t just taking twenty-six prospects to fill its roster. There are multiple impact players among the group, along with others that will make their presence felt later in their careers.
When looking at the 2026 class, the Irish, according to Rivals, are among the nation’s top classes in average rating per commitment with 90.93. They trail just three others classes in Oregon, LSU and Alabama, while leading Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, Georgia and the rest of the country.
Head coach Marcus Freeman can’t be given enough credit for the change in recruiting during his tenure, as it seemingly has gotten better and better each year, with this one being his best. Among the top commits are safety Joey O’Brien, cornerback Khary Adams, and offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh.
It’s a class that is loaded all over with talent, and could be the start of an extraordinary recruiting run for Notre Dame.
