Former Tennessee quarterback Gaston Moore is returning to college football in 2025. He committed to South Florida and head coach Alex Golesh on Tuesday, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
Moore entered the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 26, 2024.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pound quarterback appeared in six games at Tennessee in 2024. He completed 16-of-27 passing attempts for 201 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
From 2021-24, Moore appeared in 14 games for the Vols. He completed 26-of-44 passing attempts for 273 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions, while also recording 22 rushing yards on six attempts.
Moore transferred from UCF to the Vols ahead of the 2021 season. He redshirted in 2020 under then-UCF head coach Josh Heupel.
Golesh is in his third season as head coach at USF. He has compiled a 14-12 record from 2023-24 with the Bulls. Golesh served as the Vols’ offensive coordinator under Heupel from 2021-22.
