Oregon Ducks target Davon Benjamin makes major recruiting announcement

After a blazing hot recruiting stretch over the last few weeks, things have slowed down for the Oregon Ducks at this point in July, while we await a few major recruiting announcements early next month.

The Ducks are in a great position to land a pair of blue-chip players, 4-star CB Davon Benjamin and 4-star DL Deuce Geralds, both of whom are scheduled to announce their commitments on August 2. On Monday, Benjamin announced his top schools ahead of his commitment, with the Ducks unsurprisingly in the mix.

Benjamin listed Oregon alongside the Michigan Wolverines, Texas Longhorns, Washington Huskies, and North Carolina Tar Heels. The 247Sports Composite rates the 4-star CB as the No. 38 player in the 2026 class.

Oregon is currently the favorite to land Benjamin, but the Wolverines have been making a strong push for him over the last month, and it could come down to the wire to land the blue-chip prospect. Oregon is also currently the heavy favorite to land Geralds, who is rated as the No. 75 player and No. 9 DL in the class.
