A new list from Fox Sports honors one of the greatest players in Nebraska football history. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was named the greatest college football player to ever wear the No. 93.
Suh is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in college football history. He finished his Husker run with 215 career tackles, ranking him 24th in school history and fourth among defensive linemen.
He also tallied 57 career tackles for loss, 1.5 behind the school record holder, Grant Wistrom. He also finished fourth in school history in career sacks, with 24 career sacks, which is tied for fourth in Nebraska history.
His 2009 season was regarded as one of the greatest individual defensive seasons in college football history. Suh played in 14 games and recorded 85 tackles, 20.5 for loss, and 12.0 sacks. He was a finalist for the 2009 Heisman Trophy and was the first defensive player named the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year.
According to Fox Sports, the list is based on three key factors that determined how each player performed during their college football career. Those factors are prestigious accolades, statistics, and winning percentage. Fox Sports highlighted Suh’s performance in the 2009 season as one of the greatest performances in college football history.

Suh spent 13 seasons in the NFL after being selected second overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2010 draft. He was a five-time All-Pro, as well as a Super Bowl champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
