Clemson Tigers kicker Nolan Hauser was one of 30 players named to the 2025 Lou Groza Award Watch List, the Palm Beach (Fla.) County Sports Commission announced Friday. The award is presented annually to the top place-kicker in college football.
Hauser, who connected on 75 percent (18-for-24) of his field goals as a true freshman in 2024, nailed a season-long 56-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to lift the Tigers to a 34-31 win over SMU in the ACC Championship Game on Dec. 7. Hauser’s kick sent Clemson to the College Football Playoff and was an ACC title game record.
He also made a 51-yard field goal just before halftime in the Tigers’ 24-20 win at Pitt three weeks earlier on Nov. 16. A native of Cornelius, North Carolina, Hauser made 59 of 60 extra point attempts. He committed to Clemson in November 2022 over offers from ACC rivals North Carolina and NC State.
