Georgia football set all-time attendance record in 2024

The Georgia Bulldogs are riding the country’s longest home winning streak at 31 games entering the 2025 college football season. That streak is drawing lots of attention with Georgia facing a trio of challenging SEC opponents (Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss) at home this fall. The Dawgs will have to fight hard against elite competition in order to continue their lengthy home winning streak.

One thing that is being overlooked is the record that Georgia fans set in 2024. Last season, Georgia set its all-time home attendance record (in terms of average fans per game). Georgia has had 77 consecutive home sellouts dating back to 2012. The Bulldogs averaged a record 93,033 fans per game across their six home games in 2024. A new addition added just under 300 seats to Sanford Stadium last season.

In 2024, Georgia broke the average attendance per game record that was previously set in 2019 when UGA averaged 92,817 fans per game. The record-setting Notre Dame game boosted Georgia’s 2019 attendance per game from the usual 92,746. In Georgia’s 23-17 win over Notre Dame, a school-record 93,246 fans watched as the Bulldogs prevailed thanks to a defensive goal line stand.
