MSU football to reportedly host 4-star TE Anthony Cartwright for BC game

Michigan State football has reportedly added another big-time recruiting guest to the Boston College home game weekend.

Reports of a number of players planning to visit Michigan State for the Spartans’ home game against Boston College on September 6, and on Wednesday another major prospect was added to that list. According to 247Sports recruiting insider Allen Trieu, four-star tight end Anthony Cartwright will be on-campus on September 6.

Cartwright is from Franklin, Mich. and ranks as one of the top players from Michigan in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is listed as the No. 16 tight end nationally and No. 4 player from Michigan in the class. He is also ranked as the No. 258 overall prospect in the class.

Cartwright holds offers from nearly 40 schools, according to 247Sports. Some of the more notable programs to offer him includes Michigan State, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, Boston College, Colorado, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami (FL), Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulane, USC, Washington and Wisconsin.

Per the report from Trieu, Cartwright is also set to visit Miami (FL) on August 31 for their game against Notre Dame and LSU on September 13 for their game against Florida.
