Defensive lineman James Carrington decommits from FSU

Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles lost a verbal commitment today, as defensive lineman James “Tank” Carrington decided to remove himself from #Tribe26.

Carrington committed to FSU on June 16 of this year over teams like the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, claiming that his recruitment was shut down at the time (anyone who follows recruiting closely takes such statements with a shaker of salt). The composite three-star from California will now seek a new home.

Florida State retains verbal commitments from three defensive line prospects in four-star Earnest Rankins and three-stars Tico Crittendon and Wihtlley Cadeau. The class is rated as 15th in the nation at the time of this writing.
