College Football Playoff ranking announcements for the 2025 season

As the college football season nears, here’s the annual reminder that the preseason rankings don’t matter one bit — even though Ohio State has received a ton of respect in both the US LBM Coaches and AP Polls in the preseason.

No, the only rankings that matter are those that come from the College Football Playoff committee on the back-end of the season, once we’ve all witnessed enough games and moments to have a better feel for which teams are truly worthy of having a number next to their name.

With that in mind, then, it seems important to note when those CFP Rankings are going to be released throughout the 2024 season so that we can all dissect, complain, and conjecture about these sorts of things. So, for your reading and consumption, and for future reference, here are the dates of the CFP Rankings this year.
