BATON ROUGE – LSU football has officially arrived at game week.
Brian Kelly and his No. 9 LSU squad open the 2025 season on the road in a top 10 marquee matchup at No. 6 Clemson Aug. 30 (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC). LSU has lost all of its season openers under Kelly, 0-3, and has lost five straight dating back to 2020.
The matchup between LSU and Clemson at Memorial Stadium to kick off this season pits two preseason Heisman Trophy favorites against one another in LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and his Clemson counterpart Cade Klubnik.
