UNM’s first two-deep is out — sorta.
Since Michigan didn’t release one, UNM has put out a two-deep with Tom Hanks characters in place of the offense, Tom Cruise characters in place of the defense and Leonardo DiCaprio characters in place of special teams starters. pic.twitter.com/pkrO71v2cf

Most college football teams release depth charts to the media, and Michigan football used to be one of them. However, after the first two years of Jim Harbaugh, the former head coach decided to do away with it, no longer giving the media (or opposing teams) any idea of who may or may not be playing. It’s been a tradition continued by current head coach Sherrone Moore.
The Wolverines’ next opponent, New Mexico, does release a depth chart, but since Michigan wasn’t going to give the Lobos any leg up, neither was UNM.
According to Albuquerque Journal reporter Sean Reider, the Lobos did release a two-deep; however, there are no actual players on it — just Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, and Leonardo DiCaprio characters.
While it might be gamesmanship from Michigan football’s next opponent, it is fair play given the Wolverines’ antics over the past near-decade.
Regardless, coaches and players watch film — though with much of the Lobos now comprised of former Idaho players, it might be a little more challenging for the maize and blue to determine who on New Mexico they’ll see on Saturday. Even so, the season opener will take place at The Big House with the game kicking off at 7:36 p.m. EDT.
