We are just days away from seeing athletic young men run out of the tunnel in the Horseshoe wearing scarlet and gray. The Week 1 game of 2025 takes on even more meaning this year because Ohio State will play host to the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns, a rematch of last season’s CFP semifinal Cotton Bowl.
OSU won that one in epic fashion, and this one figures to be an even tougher matchup for the Buckeyes to walk away from with a win.
But Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian knows that it won’t be easy for his Longhorns either. He met with the media this week to preview the titanic clash and heaped praise on Ohio State while also showing a quiet confidence in what his team will be able to do.
