How difficult is Colorado’s 2025 schedule compared to other Big 12 teams?

Compared to its Big 12 counterparts, the Colorado Buffaloes have one of the more challenging 2025 football schedules in the conference.

Jeremy Cluff of the Arizona Republic recently ranked all 16 Big 12 schedules based on opponent winning percentage from last season (Football Bowl Subdivision only) and Colorado wound up with the sixth-hardest 2025 schedule. Including nonconference foes Wyoming and Georgia Tech, the Buffs’ 2025 opponents finished with a .567 combined winning percentage in 2024.

Texas Tech, which battles Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Kent State and Oregon State in nonconference play, has the easiest schedule with its 2025 opponents scoring a .460 winning percentage last season. TCU owns the Big 12’s most difficult 2025 schedule based on Cluff’s formula (.632 opponent winning percentage).

Here’s what Cluff wrote on Colorado’s 2025 slate:

The Buffaloes host Georgia Tech, Delaware and Wyoming in non-conference. In conference, they have to play BYU, Iowa State and Arizona State, but they get all three of them at home. They end the regular season at Kansas State.

Colorado’s third season under head coach Deion Sanders will kick off at home on Aug. 30 against Georgia Tech.
