Which Texas A&M football transfer will have most impact in 2025? Ranking top 5 additions

Texas A&M football made it a point to attack the transfer portal aggressively. With holes on the roster, Mike Elko and Co. have added 14 players, many of whom they believe can have an instant impact.

From a revamped wide receiver room to rebuilding the defensive line, the Aggies have been meticulous in their approach to talent acquisition.

Of course, there’s still time to add, with some players still available in the portal following spring practices commencing. But among the group committed to playing for the Aggies in 2025, which player is likely to exert the heaviest impact?

Let’s look at five prospects:

KC Concepcion, wide receiver

The Aggies’ highest-rated transfer comes at a crucial spot. KC Concepcion comes from North Carolina State and walks on campus as A&M’s sure-fire No. 1 wideout option. Concepcion finished his time at NC State with 124 receptions, 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Concepcion gives the Aggies a legitimate threat outside who is capable of stretching the field while also winning underneath and being tough after the catch.

Quarterback Marcel Reed’s development will be crucial to the team’s success, and adding talent like Concepcion helps advance that progression forward. Last season’s top receiver, Noah Thomas, accumulated 574 yards and eight touchdowns on 39 receptions before leaving in the transfer portal for Georgia.
