Texas A&M’s success in recruiting elite defensive line prospects dates back to the early 1990s. Still, it has been highlighted by defensive ends Von Miller and Myles Garrett’s incredible NFL careers, which will both lead them to the Hall of Fame once they hang up their cleats for good.
Under head coach Mike Elko, the success has continued after landing four-star defensive linemen Chace Sims, DJ Sanders, and Landon Rink in the 2025 signing class, while 2026 four-star DLs Trashawn Ruffin and Jermaine Kinsler are the latest commitments in the future trenches.
Sticking with the 2026 cycle, another elite defensive line prospect, four-star Dylan Berymon, is reportedly trending toward Texas A&M, while Texas, USC, and LSU are equally in the mix. According to Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman, USC, Texas, and the Aggies are battling for the Louisiana native, who will take an official visit to Texas A&M on June 20.
During his 2024 junior season at Ouachita Parish HS in Monroe (LA), Berymon’s large base and natural power produced 38 tackles, seven sacks, and eight tackles for loss. One-on-one, Berymon is a force to deal with as a pass rusher and moves very well for a player carrying 305 pounds.
