Ohio State could again have a presence on the cover of EA Sports College Football.
A photo of a potential cover for the next edition of the video game leaked online Wednesday night and included coach Ryan Day, as well as wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and safety Caleb Downs, among more than a dozen coaches and current and former players posing together.
The Athletic reported they had met earlier in the day for a photoshoot at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California. EA Sports did not verify the image.
Other coaches in the shot include Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Penn State’s James Franklin. Alabama star receiver Ryan Williams stood in the front alongside Smith and former Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Reggie Bush.
The leaked cover was for a Deluxe Edition of the video game, which also featured multiple players last year. Running back Quinshon Judkins had represented the Buckeyes on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.
EA Sports announced in January that it would release a new installment of the popular video game series this year, but it did not provide a release date or additional details for EA Sports College Football.
The series returned last July for the first time in 11 years.
