The Panthers made history Monday night, beating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in Game 7 to clinch the franchise’s first Stanley Cup. Florida didn’t get to the finish line without some tribulations — Monday’s triumph came after the Oilers won three consecutive games to force the decisive final contest. But when the final horn sounded, the celebration was one for the ages.
After a champagne-filled night in the locker room, the Panthers took over the streets of Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday morning to enjoy the Florida sun and share the moment with fans.
