The Los Angeles Kings made their mark in free agency by signing forward Warren Foegele and defenseman Joel Edmundson to multiyear deals Monday.
Foegele, who had a career season with the Edmonton Oilers last season, received a three-year deal worth $10.5 million.
Edmonson, who split last season between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs, inked a four-year deal worth $15.4 million.
Foegele, 28, played in all 82 games for the Oilers while setting career bests with 20 goals and 21 assists while playing on a variety of lines. He had eight points during the team’s run to the Stanley Cup Final.
He averaged 13:58 time on the ice for the Oilers last season, and chipped in two game-winning goals in their high-flying offense. A 2014 third-round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes, Foegele has reached double digits in goals in six consecutive seasons.
The 31-year-old Edmondson, a 6-foot-5 blueliner, had six points in 53 regular-season games. He was a Stanley Cup champ with the St. Louis Blues in 2019.
