Georgia football flipped a top 2025 recruit Sunday afternoon and it came within the SEC.
Shamari Earls, a 2025 four-star cornerback announced that he is flipping his commitment from South Carolina to Georgia. Earls had previously committed to the Gamecocks during their spring practice in April.
“I would like to thank Coach Gray, Coach Beamer and the entire South Carolina staff and fan base for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of their family, but at this time I need to make the best decision for me,” Earls wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “With that being said I’d like to announce that I’ll be de-committing from South Carolina and committing to the (University of Georgia!!) I’m a #Dawg.”
