We’re now two weeks into the college football season, and it featured the first SEC contest of 2024.
Kentucky was stunned at home by South Carolina on Saturday in Lexington, falling 31-6 to a Gamecocks team it had no answer for. Elsewhere, Texas and Tennessee made statements, delivering convincing ranked wins against Michigan and NC State.
Auburn, Mississippi State and Arkansas all fell against power conference opponents, while Alabama and Oklahoma escaped from potential upsets at home.

The Bulldogs had the chance for a nice road win in coach Jeff Lebby’s first game against a power conference opponent, but they fell flat. Despite the offense showing some nice things as it came back from down 27-3 to make it a game in the fourth, the Bulldogs were awful on defense and allowed 262 yards on the ground to Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo.
