The 2024-25 NHL season starts soon, and the ESPN family of networks is your home for hockey.
There will be 100 exclusive games across ESPN, ESPN+, Hulu and ABC this season, plus 1,050-plus out-of-market games available on NHL Power Play on ESPN+.
The broadcast season begins on Oct. 8 with a tripleheader: St. Louis Blues at Seattle Kraken (4:30 p.m. ET), Boston Bruins at Florida Panthers (7 p.m. ET) and Chicago Blackhawks at Utah Hockey Club (10 p.m. ET).

On Oct. 22, the NHL Frozen Frenzy — a special night of hockey featuring all 32 teams in action — makes its return. That includes another tripleheader beginning at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN — Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche at Seattle Kraken and Los Angeles Kings at Vegas Golden Knights — while the 13 other games will be available on NHL Power Play on ESPN+. In addition, there will be a live whip-around show with live look-ins and highlights from all 16 games.
The NHL 4 Nations Faceoff will take place from Feb. 12-20, including teams of NHL players representing the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden in a round-robin tournament. Three round-robin games and the championship game will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC.
March 1 will see the return of the Stadium Series to ESPN, with the Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Detroit Red Wings at Ohio Stadium, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
