What transpired at Folsom Field late Saturday evening was nothing short of a miracle.
On a play that some are comparing to the 1994 “Miracle at Michigan,” Colorado football quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver LaJohntay Wester somehow connected on a last-second Hail Mary to send the Buffs into overtime against Baylor. The craziness didn’t end there, either. After running back Micah Welch scored in the first overtime period, Travis Hunter secured the 38-31 win with a forced fumble.
Colorado, which trailed by two touchdowns late in the second quarter, improved to 3-1 on the season under second-year head coach Deion Sanders.

In addition to the offense’s late heroics, Colorado’s defense again put together an outstanding performance, holding Baylor to 313 yards of total offense (148 passing, 165 rushing), including overtime. Standout performers include safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig (13 total tackles), linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green (eight total tackles, one TFL) and defensive lineman BJ Green II (two TFLs).
