All eyes were on the Florida State football quarterbacks during Tuesday’s practice.
With starter DJ Uiagalelei sidelined for a few weeks due to a finger injury, backups Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek have an opportunity to step in and compete.
“I’ve been pleased with how those guys prepared each and every week leading up because you never know when the opportunity will present itself,” FSU coach Mike Norvell said.
“Obviously, the door is open is now, and excited to see them go through it.”
Coming off a devastating 42-16 loss at SMU last Saturday, FSU is at home Saturday against No. 15 Clemson at 7 p.m. on ESPN at Doak Campbell Stadium.
Glenn is projected to start in place of Uiagalelei. The redshirt freshman received significant snaps on the first day of installation.

According to Norvell, Glenn had a solid day leading the first-team of offense. In the beginning, he took command in communicating during pre-snaps and checkdowns during 11-on-11.
“I thought he made some good decisions, and I thought he had some things that we had to go back and correct in the film,” Norvell said.
At first, Glenn missed some throws, especially with sophomore receiver Hykeem Williams. He would come over to talk to Glenn, likely talking about where he likes the ball to be placed.
Glenn started to find some rhythm later in practice when he connected with wide receiver Malik Benson.
