NORMAN — It seems unlikely Deion Burks will make his return Saturday.
Burks, who has missed the Sooners’ last three games after suffering a soft tissue injury against Tennessee, was downgraded Thursday night from questionable to doubtful to play against Mississippi.
During his coaches show Monday, Venables said Burks was “day-to-day.” Burks was a game time decision against South Carolina last Saturday.
Venables said Tuesday running back Gavin Sawchuk, who is listed as doubtful to play Saturday, strained his quad.
SEC teams must file their reports Wednesday before a Saturday conference game and update them daily until 90 minutes before kickoff.
