CSU football fans celebrate the start of the fourth quarter by lifting a tifo up into the stands against Colorado in the Rocky Mountain Showdown at Canvas Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, in Fort Collins, Colo.
Canvas Stadium is full again.
Colorado State sold out Saturday’s homecoming game against New Mexico, announcing a crowd of 36,980.
It’s the fifth (of seven) home games of the season and third sellout. Seated capacity is 36,500 (what is considered a sellout) with standing room only going up to 41,000.
CSU also reached a sellout in the home opener against Northern Colorado (36,573) and set a program attendance mark (40,099) against Colorado.
CSU’s 2024 home announced attendance average is now 34,017. That would easily be a program record. CSU’s single-season top announced attendance average is 32,062 in 2017, the opening season for Canvas Stadium.
