LAWRENCE — Kansas football earned its first public commitment of the 2026 recruiting class on Oct. 29, 2024.
Jaylen Mason, an in-state quarterback, announced his commitment to the Jayhawks on X — the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Mason is listed as a 6-foot-2.5 prospect who weighs 196 pounds, according to 247Sports. It’s an important first step for head coach Lance Leipold’s coaching staff, as it continues to build for the future.
