North Carolina football will try to reverse its fortune against Florida State on Saturday (3:30 p.m., ACC Network) at Doak Campbell Stadium.
The Tar Heels (4-4, 1-3 ACC) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 27-point rout of Virginia. Now, UNC will try to knock off the Seminoles (1-7, 1-6), who have lost four in a row.
FSU has won 17 of its 21 games against the Heels, including an 8-2-1 record in Tallahassee. But the programs have split the last four meetings in the series.

Kaimon Rucker, UNC defense should thrive vs FSU offense
After becoming the first UNC defense to reach 10 sacks since 2000, the Tar Heels should have plenty of opportunities to pile up more sacks against the struggling Seminoles. FSU is 110th in sacks allowed (23) through eight games. Defensive linemen Kaimon Rucker and Jahvaree Ritzie, a duo that combined for six sacks against Virginia, will have a chance to thrive this weekend.
UNC running back Omarion Hampton against Florida State defense
Omarion Hampton has rushed for 100 or more rushing yards in seven of eight games this season as the top running back in the ACC. Hampton had 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns against Virginia, surpassing 1,000 yards on the season to become the ninth Tar Heel to have multiple seasons with that accomplishment. That success should continue against FSU, which is 81st in total defense, including 105th in rushing defense.
Mack Brown’s record vs FSU
