OXFORD — As far as impressing voters goes, Ole Miss football had one of the most impressive weekends possible.
Ole Miss beat Georgia 28-10 at home in Week 11 in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebels (8-2, 4-2 SEC) entered the game at No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and No. 16 in the AP Poll. Georgia (7-2, 5-2) was ranked No. 2/3.
The game drew a record crowd. It was a signature victory for coach Lane Kiffin. The win against Georgia was the highest-ranked win for Ole Miss in Oxford since 2014 when the Rebels beat No. 1 Alabama 23-17.
The Rebels outgained Georgia 397 to 245 and outscored the Bulldogs 28-3 after allowing an early touchdown.
