Given his previous relationship with staff, Kewan Lacy's move to Ole Miss was 'smooth and easy'

OXFORD – There were no big surprises for sophomore running back Kewan Lacy during his most recent courtship from Ole Miss. He had been through the same process with the Rebels rather recently.

Lacy, a four-star recruit in the 2024 class out of Dallas, was heavily recruited by Ole Miss out of high school. Lacy ran for 1,513 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior at Lancaster High and ultimately chose to enroll at Missouri last summer. Ole Miss’ leading returning rusher is Domonique Thomas, who totaled 197 yards.

“Hitting the portal, it was just finding the best fit for me and where I could show my abilities,” Lacy said. “And I just felt like, coming out of high school, this was one of my top choices. So I just felt like, ‘Why not?’ It’s a good program, I love the offense.”

Lacy, along with senior Logan Diggs – an LSU transfer from last year’s class who missed nearly all of 2024 recovering from a knee injury before returning for the Gator Bowl – and…
