Alabama football has flipped a commitment in the 2025 recruiting class.
Ivan Taylor, a four-star safety out of Winter Garden, Florida, announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Monday, ending his commitment to Michigan.

Taylor, out of West Orange High School, is the No. 59 player in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is the seventh-ranked safety in the class and the ninth-ranked player out of Florida.
Taylor was also once committed to Notre Dame.
Taylor is the fourth player to flip a commitment to Alabama in the Crimson Tide’s 2025 class, joining five-star quarterback Keelon Russell (SMU), four-star running back Akylin Dear (Ole Miss) and four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett (North Carolina).
Taylor is the 10th top-100 player to commit to Alabama’s 2025 top-ranked recruiting class, joining Russell, offensive tackle Ty Haywood, cornerback Dijon Lee, offensive lineman Michael Carroll, Dear, linebacker Justin Hill, linebacker Darrell Johnson, cornerback Chuck McDonald and offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd.

In Taylor, Alabama has a safety in the 2025 class, having previously lost commitments from four-star Derick Smith in June before he committed to Auburn.
A 6-foot, 174-pound safety, Taylor is built like a strong safety as the Crimson Tide looks for its replacement for Malachi Moore after the 2024 season.
