Texas football beat Clemson, 38-24, on Saturday, and earned itself the right to play at least one more game.
The Longhorns now head to the Peach Bowl, where they’ll take on Big 12 champion Arizona State in the second round of the College Football Playoff.
This quarterfinal will take place Jan. 1 at the Atlanta-hosted Peach Bowl. The Longhorns played at that site, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, for the SEC title game on Dec. 7 against Georgia, but Texas has never played in the Peach Bowl. Arizona State hasn’t been to the Peach Bowl since 1970.
