A total of 14 Schuylkill County football players earned All-State selections for their hard work on the gridiron this fall.
Four hail from Williams Valley, three are from North Schuylkill, two don Schuylkill Haven’s blue and gold, one is from Nativity, one is from Marian Catholic, one is from Minersville, another is from Pottsville and one more played his final year of high school football at Blue Mountain.
In Class 2A football, Williams Valley and Schuylkill Haven matched up in the District XI Class 2A Championship with the Vikings earning a spot in the state playoffs.
The seniors named to the Class 2A and 4A All-State football teams include Williams Valley’s Kian Kryzanowski, Jesse Koons and Skylor Green as well as Schuylkill Haven’s Leyden Hertz. Pottsville’s Brayden Evans and Blue Mountain’s Gaige Guers also played their senior seasons.

Niko Carestia – Schuylkill Haven – Running back
Kian Kryzanowski – Williams Valley – Wide receiver
Jesse Koons – Williams Valley – Offensive line
Skylor Green – Williams Valley – Linebacker
Leyden Hertz – Schuylkill Haven – Wide receiver
Class 4A
Brayden Evans – Pottsville – Linebacker
Gaige Guers – Blue Mountain – Wide receiver
