Oregon State football has added another marquee addition to its offseason transfer portal haul.
On Saturday, the Beavers landed a transfer commitment from Portland native and former Miami sophomore tight end Riley Williams. After taking a visit to Corvallis this week, Williams announced his commitment via social media.
A former four-star signee in the 2023 class, Williams was the nation’s No. 152 overall prospect and No. 8 tight end, according to 247Sports. He chose Miami over offers from Oregon, Ohio State, Alabama and many others.
Miami Hurricanes tight end Riley Williams (88) stiff arms Virginia Tech Hokies linebacker Keli Lawson (0) during the fourth quarter at Hard Rock Stadium Sept. 27, 2024, in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Williams began his prep career at Central Catholic before transferring to IMG Academy in Florida ahead of his senior season.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds, Williams caught 15 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown during two seasons with Miami. He played 184 offensive snaps in 11 games for the Hurricanes in 2024.
Williams is Oregon State’s second high-profile tight end addition of the 2024-25 winter portal cycle. On Dec. 19, the Beavers landed former BYU four-star Jackson Bowers.
