Days after Texas football lost 28-14 to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinals, offensive lineman Hayden Conner made a decision about his future.
“I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft,” he exclaimed in a statement posted to X.
The senior from Katy played all four years as a Longhorn. He started as a guard this season and had one combined tackle and one solo tackle during the 2023 football season.

“These past four years have been the best of my life…. a lot of good and bad has happened, but through all that has happened in this city, it has shaped me into the man I am now,” he said.
“(Conner) brings a lot (to the offensive line). He brings his mind. He’s a great thinker,” UT left tackle Kelvin Banks said in October. “He’s kind of like the second center as he would say.”
Conner was placed on the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and a Wuerffel Trophy Award Semifinalist for his support of animal shelters in the Austin-area as well as other volunteer efforts.
