OXFORD — Ole Miss football has added a quarterback in its incoming transfer class.
Former Louisville quarterback Pierce Clarkson is transferring to Ole Miss, according to Pete Nakos of On3. The news was reported Monday.
Clarkson comes to Ole Miss with three seasons of eligibility. He was a four-star recruit out of Bellflower, California. He played for national powerhouse Saint John Bosco in high school.
Clarkson did not get much playing time as a Cardinal. He appeared in one game as a true freshman in 2023 and in two games this season. In total, Clarkson has thrown for 18 yards on 4-for-6 passing. He also rushed for nine yards on five attempts.
Clarkson is the first quarterback Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has added through the portal. The Rebels had an open spot, as quarterback Walker Howard is in the portal. Ole Miss’ incoming transfer portal class is ranked No. 3 according to 247Sports.
