A committee of Jacksonville Independent Board of Trustees members, along with various administrative personnel from schools throughout the district, began their task of reviewing applications for athletic director/head football coach at Jacksonville High School this week.
According to Grace Traylor, Public Information Officer for the JISD, more than 80 applications were received.
The committee will now put their heads together and determine which men will be asked to interview for the position.
For the past three seasons, Jason Holman has served as the Indians’ athletic director/head football coach. During that time the Tribe went 4-26.
The job opened up in mid December, with applications having been accepted through Jan. 17.
