Former LSU football wide receiver Jack Bech earned Senior Bowl MVP honors on Saturday after catching a walk-off touchdown.
Bech signed with LSU in 2021 and spent two years with the Tigers before transferring to TCU. In two years with the Tigers, Bech caught 59 passes for 689 yards and four scores.
In his first year with TCU, Bech caught just 12 passes for 146 yards, but 2024 was a breakout campaign. Bech surpassed 1,000 yards and caught 62 passes with nine scores.
Bech dedicated the performance to his older brother Tiger, who died in the pickup truck attack in New Orleans.
“My brother had some wings on me,” Bech said when asked about his touchdown, “He gave it to me and he let that all take place.”
Bech wore the No. 7 jersey — the same number his brother wore at Princeton.
“He’s been my role model my whole life, the person I looked up to, the person I wanted to be. He was the best big brother I could ever ask for,” Bech said.
One month ago today, Jack Bech lost his brother, Tiger, in the New Year’s terror attack on Bourbon Street.
