Nebraska football paid a visit to four-star defensive tackle Kelvin Obot earlier this week. He made the announcement on X.
Obot is a member of the 2026 class. He is the 10th overall offensive tackle in his class and the top player in his class from the state of Iowa per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He has an extensive offer list that includes 21 offers in total. The Auburn Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Oregon Ducks, Tennessee Volunteers, and USC Trojans are some of the bigger schools to send an offer his way. He has zero crystal ball predictions at this time. Obit is a two-way player and currently plays for Fruitland High School.
Nebraska football has a solid base for the 2026 recruiting class. They have three commitments in total, and the class currently ranks 34th overall in the country per the 247Sports Team Rankings.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Nebraska can do in this recruitment. Obot is an intriguing player, as he measures in at six-foot-five, 265 pounds. His versatility to play both sides of the ball certainly makes him a coveted prospect, at the very least.
