The cost of Penn State football tickets and parking are rising for next season, thanks to a new fee.
University officials have announced a “Legacy Fund” campaign on Friday that will raise money for what they call a “new era of college athletics,” which includes revenue sharing. The fund will add fees to a range of athletic products such as tickets, parking, concessions and merchandise.
Monies raised will supplement athletic scholarships in the program’s 31 varsity sports and maintain athletic facilities, according to a university press release. That includes Beaver Stadium, which is undergoing a $700 million renovation.
Penn State officials pointed out that these price increases are not “player talent fees” in order to pay players.
“The Legacy Fund is a two-pronged effort providing resources for student-athlete scholarships and a commitment to ensuring Penn State’s 23 athletics facilities, including Beaver Stadium, remain some of the best venues in the nation,” the university said in a Legacy Fund FAQ.

Penn State offered only a few specifics, at this time, about the new fees: Football season-ticket holders will be charged an extra $20 per seat during the 2025 regular season; football season parking passes will increase by $45.
Fans also should expect additional fees for single-game tickets for football and other sports, concessions, merchandise and “purchases at the Blue & White Golf Courses.”
